See every asset's trace.
Hand us a pallet of laptops — or drop your drives in a prepaid mail-in kit — and watch each asset move through its lifecycle with a document trail attached. Every serial. Every stage. Every timestamp.
Destroyed. Documented. Done.
In short
Trace gives every IT asset a serial-level trace through five stages — Received → Verified → Wiped → Destroyed or Refurbished → Resold or Recycled. Each batch closes with a Trace Report, Certificate of Destruction, and Chain of Custody, so you can see exactly what happened to every device.
What is a Trace?
A Trace is the complete, serial-level record of one asset's journey through disposition. Five stages, one per milestone — and every transition between them is timestamped and logged to your chain of custody.
-
STAGE 1
Received
Your assets arrive under seal — from a free on-site pickup or a prepaid mail-in kit — and every serial is scanned at the dock.
-
STAGE 2
Verified
Each serial is matched against the pickup manifest, photographed, and reconciled. Any discrepancy is flagged the same day.
-
STAGE 3
Wiped
Every drive is overwritten and verified — aligned to NAID AAA / i-SIGMA specifications. Wipes are free, always.
-
STAGE 4
Destroyed / Refurbished
Drives you flag for destruction (or that fail verification) are shredded for $10/drive. Working assets are tested, graded, and re-imaged.
-
STAGE 5
Resold / Recycled
Refurbished assets are resold — and you share the revenue, which is what funds the free service. Shredded material goes to certified downstream recyclers.
Every stage transition is timestamped and written to the batch chain-of-custody log.
Tracing is built into every disposition we run — see our full ITAD services: pickup, wiping, destruction, and resale.
